  1. Jaclyn,
I am delighted that this paper, incubating for two years, has finally hatched onto the national stage! This paper shows the "way in" for TLs into the English program, especially when significant changes have occurred. Your suggestions offer so many in-roads for TLs to take. What I'm curious to hear is the "since then" review: since you first composed this paper in 2023, what steps have you taken in your high school to help those teaching ENL1W? Which offerings have been most popular? Which paths have proved most fruitful? Are there any approaches you've had to tweak since the original proposal? Inquiring minds want to know!

  2. Thank you for the practical suggestions that Teacher-Librarians can implement in their programs. Our district is invested in the science of reading methodology and we encourage all teachers to be "reading" teachers, especially our elementary TLs.

  3. Jacklyn, I am definitely going to be reaching out in person to talk more about this. I'm back in the English classroom full-time remotely and I haven't taught full-time English since 2004 -- I feel out of touch and unprepared. Your paper has given me such reassurance that I can transfer my teacher-librarian skills to whatever curricular challenges I need to face are. As Diana said, I hope you'll write that follow-up article to let us know how your strategies are going. In the meantime, can I just say: It is so cool to see myself being cited! Let's chat please!
